In 1994
Lance & Barbara Rowland bought the nursery with no experience in the nursery industry. What were we thinking? And here we are today "old hands" at this business. We are always striving to be proactive and not reactive, and for that reason are always working with other nurseries to bring new and innovative ideas to our ever changing industry.

In 2004 we started our
"12 Months of Giving" program. We donate 25% of our retail sales to 12 different non-profit charities, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. This has been such a big hit that we now have an application process that the charities need to fill out so we know why and where to donate their funds.

Here are a few organizations we have donated to: Soroptomist, Ada Grange, First Book, Florence Garden Club, Boys and Girls Club, Friends of the Florence Events Center, Florence Food Share, Rotary, Florence area Humane Society, The Last Resort Players, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Rhododendron Scholarship Pageant, Florence Alzheimers.
